What to expect

Whether you drive a car, van, or hybrid vehicle, we have the expertise to keep it running smoothly and safely.

Regular car servicing is essential for maintaining safety, reliability, and value. It helps identify and resolve minor issues before they escalate into costly repairs. At DAS, our skilled technicians use parts that meet manufacturer standards, ensuring the highest quality care for your vehicle.

What’s Included in a Service?

A car service is a comprehensive inspection designed to ensure your vehicle remains safe, reliable, and fully functional. Based on the manufacturer’s guidelines, our technicians check essential components and replace parts as needed to maintain optimal performance. Every DAS service package includes an oil and filter change as standard, ensuring your engine runs efficiently. We offer different levels of servicing tailored to your driving habits and vehicle usage, so you can choose the one that best meets your needs. For a full list of what is included in each package, please refer to our servicing checklist.

What to Bring for Your Service

To help us complete your service efficiently,
we recommend bringing the following

Vehicle Service Book

While not mandatory, having your logbook stamped after each service shows that your car has been regularly maintained. This not only adds to its resale value but also demonstrates to potential buyers that the vehicle is in good condition.

Locking Wheel Nut Key

This is essential if you are booking a Full Service, as it allows our technicians to remove the wheels and perform a thorough brake inspection.

How Often Should You Service Your Car?

To keep your car running smoothly and avoid unexpected problems, it’s important to follow a regular servicing schedule. Here’s what we recommend:

FAQs

1. Is an Engine Oil & Filter Change a Service?

An Engine Oil & Filter Change is an important part of routine maintenance, as it helps keep your engine running smoothly and efficiently. However, it does not include the detailed checks required to classify it as a full service. It will not reset your service light or provide a logbook stamp. If your vehicle is due for a service, it’s best to book an Interim or Full Service, which includes a comprehensive inspection of all key systems in addition to an oil and filter change.

2. When Is My Car Service Due?

Your car manufacturer will recommend a specific interval for servicing, which you can find in your vehicle handbook. Alternatively, check your logbook to see when your last service was completed. Modern vehicles often feature onboard computers or diagnostic systems that alert you when a service is required. It’s important not to ignore these notifications, even if they appear before reaching the standard service interval. Staying on top of your servicing schedule helps prevent issues, keeps your car performing at its best, and ensures your safety on the road.
